1/8/2023 0 Comments Star wars darth nihl![]() ![]() ![]() But the will of the Force had other things in mind and like so many other sub-lines before it, the Comic Packs line died (something we directly blame Hasbro for and not retail or collectors) unfortunately and put the Expanded Universe selection of Star Wars action figures in moratorium (with very few exceptions). ![]() The Comic Packs line made its debut in 2007 in the 30 (77-07) line and from its first couple years of performance at retail, all of us were pretty confident that we would be seeing these sets at retail for quite some time. Had sets like this had a fair chance at retail, we're confident that the line would have flourished. We’re honestly happy that Hasbro decided to make good on what they advertised and these “last four” are certainly worth the wait because they are truly some of the best figures released in this popular yet unsuccessful sub-line. Is it worse that we had to wait 18 long months to get the last batch of Comic Packs finally delivered to us or that we’re complaining at all that it took that long to get them? We’re not exactly sure, but at least the Comic Packs that were first showed off at the 2009 San Diego Comic Con are finally available in November 2010 with extra special thanks to Entertainment Earth for picking them up and rescuing them from certain cancellation.
